✍️ Our Creative Journey

Roy isn’t a music professional; he just runs a little shop on Moose Jaw’s Main Street, simply writing lyrics inspired by his life here. The rest of the magic is brought to life by Suno and Moose City’s virtual residents.

Instead of just letting the AI take over, Roy spends a lot of time tweaking the tempo, genres, and instruments—with some tracks taking up to two or three months of pulling all-nighters until the birds start chirping, just to get the track exactly the way he likes. Take “Home Once More” for Boorry, for instance—that track was simply born out of him missing his homeland at the time.

✍️ Honoring Human Artistry & Collaborations

We hold the deepest respect and admiration for human musicians and vocalists. At their core, the songs of Moose City are poetry and emotional expressions—we are fully aware that they are a far cry from “true” music.

You are welcome to perform them in whatever genre suits you. If you’d like to adapt these tracks or perform them in your own style, please reach out to us for the lyrics. We are more than happy to share, and we would be absolutely honored to see real musicians bring these words to life.

We just ask that you credit the original lyrics—mostly to keep the record straight and make sure we don’t end up being mistakenly accused of copying later on!

🗺️ Moose Jaw Artist Support

Musicians based in Moose Jaw (or elsewhere in Saskatchewan) are welcome to perform our songs in public or commercial shows. Please credit “Moose City” when possible — no prior approval needed!

🌹 Special Thanks

Massive thanks to the Gemini & ChatGPT teams for such amazing products! English isn’t Roy’s native language, so he initially drafted the lyrics in Chinese, then used AI to translate, polish, and perfect them word by word. It took a tremendous amount of time, but it truly elevated his understanding of English culture.
